Information Minister Saminathan and Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj distribute the first installment of Covid-19 relief funds in Tirupur

Chief Minister MK Stalin after his swearing-in ceremony on May 7th signed on the folder providing the first installment of the Covid-19 relief fund to the public immediately.


Tirupur: The second wave of Covid-19 pandemic is spreading rapidly across Tamilnadu and meanwhile the state government has decided to roll out the first phase of the Rs 4,000 relief fund as promised by Chief Minister MK Stalin in his election manifesto.

Accordingly, Chief Minister MK Stalin after his swearing-in ceremony on May 7th signed on the folder providing the first installment of the Covid-19 relief fund to the public immediately.

The tokens were distributed to the public from 10th May and the distribution of Rs 2000 began from today. Accordingly, the relief funds were distributed in Tirupur at the 1135 Ration shops to 7,51,045 rice card holders.



Based on the tokens issued in advance, arrangements have been made for the beneficiaries to come in line from 8 am to 12 noon and collect the amount based on the day and time allotted to them.



Earlier, Information Minister Saminathan distributed the welfare fund in Kangayam, Adi Dravidar Welfare Minister Kayalvizhi Selvaraj distributed the welfare fund in Dharapuram and DMK MLA Selvaraju distributed the relief fund in Tirupur.
