Factories and 10 shops fined for violating Covid-19 prevention rules in Kinathukadavu, Coimbatore

The Revenue Department imposed fines on factories and shops that violated Covid-19 regulations.


Coimbatore: The Coimbatore district administration is beefing up various measures to prevent the rapid spread of Covid-19 infection in the district.

The district administration has ordered the Revenue Department to impose fines on factories and shops who violate Covid guidelines like maintaining social distancing and mandatory wearing of face masks as ordered by the Tamil Nadu Government. The Revenue Department is conducting daily inspections in the Kinathukadavu area of Coimbatore district.

Meanwhile, Revenue officials conducted an inspection in Vadapudur, Chellampalayam and Arasampalayam areas in Kinathukadavu. During the inspection, fines were imposed on factories and shops which were operating in violation of Covid-19 restrictions. In the last two days, three factories and more than 10 shops have been fined between Rs. 1,000 and Rs. 3,000 by Revenue officials.

The officials have warned that shops and factories that do not comply with the Tamil Nadu Government's Covid-19 prevention regulations will be sealed.
