50 people treated at newly set up Covid Treatment Center at city's Anna University campus
Coimbatore: About 50 people were admitted and treated on the very first day of the newly opened Covid Treatment Center at Anna University campus in Navavoor. In Coimbatore district, the second wave of Covid-19 has been sweeping across the district causing hospitals to overflow with patients. Hence, specialized Covid Treatment Centers have been set up in various parts of the district.
Meanwhile, a 100-bed Covid Treatment Center was inaugurated on Tuesday at the Anna University campus in Navavoor. Shortly after the inauguration of the Center, a large number of patients arrived. As of Tuesday evening, 50 people had been admitted and were being treated at the Center.
