Tamil Nadu government has imposed new curfew restrictions to prevent the spread of Covid-19 infection from May 6th

The Tamil Nadu government has announced curfew from May 1st between 10:00 pm to the early hours of the morning until 4:00 p.m.


Coimbatore: Accordingly, grocery, tea shops, etc are only allowed to operate until 12 noon. A new order has been issued to allow only 50% trains and buses to be operated by government employees. Except for groceries and vegetable shops, all other shops will be closed from the 6th.

Meanwhile, to prevent Covid-19 pandemic new restrictions are to be imposed by TamilNadu Government from May 6th 4:00 am in the morning till May 20th evening 4:00 am.

It's details are as follows:

Permission has been granted for private and government offices to operate with only 50% staff. Only 50% passengers are allowed to travel in metro trains, trains, private and government busses and cabs. Passengers will only be allowed to sit and travel.

Many grocery stores and grocery stores operating in shopping malls are not allowed. Apart from these, only stand-alone grocery, multi-grocery and vegetable stalls are allowed to operate until 12:00 noon, without 'AC' facility. Of these, only 50% of customers should be admitted at a time.

In that only a total of 50% customers are allowed at a time. No other shops are allowed to open other than groceries. Except groceries, milk distribution and medicines are allowed to be opened.

In all restaurants, only 'parcel' service is allowed. Tea shops can only operate until 12:00 noon. Indoor and outdoor community, politics, sports, entertainment, education, cultural events and more festivals are banned.

At funerals and related ceremonies, not more than 20 people are allowed. Already, in the corporation and municipal areas, beauty salons are prohibited from running. They are no longer open for service.

Fish markets, poultry butcher shops are not allowed to operate on Saturdays and Sundays. On other days, it is allowed to operate from 6:00 am to 12:00 noon. Apart from this, the existing restrictions and relaxations will continue."
