Tirupur: Labor Day was celebrated in Tirupur on May 1st on behalf of the trade union by providing drinking water and face shields to the public.

The processions and public meetings have been canceled due to restrictions imposed to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 situation where May 1 Labor Day could be celebrated across the country.

Due to this, the trade union flag was hoisted in front of the AITUC Labor Union on Perumanallur Road in Tirupur and Labor Day was celebrated by providing free Kubasuga drinking water and face masks to the public. Later doves were released representing peace.
