TASMAC outlets in Tirupur operate in violation of Covid-19 restrictions

Along with various other restrictions, Government officials have also ordered to shut down TASMAC outlets.

Tirupur: The Tamil Nadu Government is continuously beefing up measures to effectively combat the second wave of Covid-19 pandemic.

They have also issued various guidelines and restrictions to avoid crowding which can cause Covid-19 clusters. As part of the restrictions, Government officials had also ordered the closure of TASMAC outlets.

But despite the orders, a TASMAC outlet and bar was operating in Thennampalayam, Tirupur. Social activists in the area have raised concerns about the operation of the shop as customers are often seen buying alcohol without wearing masks nor following social distancing.
