This will serve all eight Western districts in Tamil Nadu effectively catering to all children from newborns to adolescents (upto18 years) and functions 24 hours on all days, including Sundays."
"The CEC functions in seperate isolated space as per WHO / ICMR norms with seperate entry and seperate exit points by following the Government of India guidelines for the management. Our expertise in the field of infectious diseases have made us pioneers during previous epidemics like the swine flu, dengue etc.," stated the press release.
"Our mother and child Covid Unit admits the following:
1) RTPCR Positive children
2) RTPCR Positive mother with baby as well as an extended service - RTPCR Positive mother father and baby in a family room
3) To evaluate suspected Covid children with fever, we admit in a safe buffer isoaltion ward till the results are out (if they test positive, they are shifted to the Covid ward and if negative they are shifted to the normal non-Covid ward).
Our regular OP and IP services will continue in the non-Covid zone. For admissions, a round-the-clock dedicated number +91 77086 82666 at CEC will be operational," stated the release.
