Husband and mistress arrested under POCSO Act for harassment on children

The mother of the children has filed cases for both physical and sexual harassment.

Coimbatore: Husband and mistress arrested under POCSO Act for harassment on children.

Sanith from Kerala and his wife lived in the Chinnathadagam area of Coimbatore. They have a 5-year-old son and a 4-year-old daughter.

But, Sanith had an extramarital affair with Geetha, a woman from the same area. Knowing this, his wife warned him and asked him to discontinue his relationship with Geetha. This led to a dispute between them.

Following this, Sanith has been living alone with Geeta in the same area for the past year. So, Sanith's wife took her children and went to Kerala.

On April 6, Sanith's wife returned back to her old house in Chinnathadagam to vacate the house. Her children were playing outside while she was clearing the house. Suddenly 2 children went missing. She was not able to locate the children.

While she was on the search, the children returned home around evening. When Sanith's wife enquired about their activities, the children said that their father Sanith came and took them away.

The kids said that Geetha, who lives with Sanith, asked them to take off their clothes and misbehaved with the kids. The kids also said that Geetha had tortured them and branded them on their feet.

Shocked to hear this, Sanith's wife lodged a complaint against those 2 at the All Women Police station in Thudiyalur for sexually abusing children. Later Geetha and Sanith were arrested under the POCSO Act for harassing children.

Further investigation has begun regarding the case.
