Coimbatore Collector Nagarajan gives green signal for MSMEs to operate during night curfew

To curb the spread of Covid-19 in Tamil Nadu, a night curfew has been imposed from 10 pm to 4 am from 20th April and a full curfew has been imposed on Sundays.

Following this, the Government of Tamil Nadu had given permission to the companies manufacturing the essential and certain products to operate at night.

Meanwhile, small entrepreneurs from Coimbatore sought permission from District Collector Nagarajan to run factories during the night curfew. They have been granted permission to operate during night curfews.

In a press release issued by James, District President, Tamil Nadu Handicrafts and Micro-Entrepreneurs Association he said. "In Tamil Nadu, the government has issued night curfew orders and imposed various restrictions as a precautionary measure against Covid-19.

They had earlier allowed only certain products in the factories. There are more than a thousand small businesses in Coimbatore which are engaged in the manufacture of spare parts for various government approved industries. So had sought permission from the Collector to permit our Business Organizations in Coimbatore to operate at night.

The district collector has given permission to operate with security measures. We are thankful for this," he said.
