Vellalore CSI Pastor files complaint against Coimbatore CSI Diocese officials for embezzlement of Rs. 25 crore Provident Funds
Coimbatore: Vellalore CSI Pastor, Gershom Jacob (62) has lodged a complaint with the Coimbatore Crime Branch Police alleging that CSI Diocese authorities have misappropriated upto Rs. 25 crores from the Provident Funds of those working under the administration of the Coimbatore Regional CSI Diocese.
"I have been working under the CSI administration and always paid my Provident Fund amount to the CSI office. When I enquired with the CSI office Treasurer about my Provident Fund account, he did not give me any details. My Provident Fund has been swindled. In addition, many others like me who work in 125 CSI churches in the region have also been swindled, with the embezzlement amounting to over Rs. 25 crores which is reflected in improper accounting of Provident Fund deposit,” alleged Gershom Jacob.
The complaint by the CSI Vellalore pastor also named former CSI Treasurer Mangaladas, current CSI Treasurer Selvakumar, former CSI Secretary Charles Samraj and Bishop Timothy Ravinder as being involved in the PF embezzlent. The Coimbatore Crime Branch police have registered the case and are investigating further.
