Police arrest fake doctor for running a clinic in Udumalaipet

It was also revealed that he had set up 3 branches in three areas near the areas of Poolavadi, Periyapatti and J Krishnapuram and was giving treatment to the sick.



Tirupur: A few people from the same village complained that there was a fake hospital called Sai Clinic which was operating in Poolavadi village near Udumalaipet in Tirupur district. 

Following this, the police went to the clinic and arrested Thavamani, who was working as a physician at the hospital. During the investigation, it was revealed that Thavamani used to work as an assistant near Palani and with that experience has started his clinic in Udumalaipet.

It was also revealed that he had set up 3 branches in three areas near the areas of Poolavadi, Periyapatti and J Krishnapuram and was giving treatment to the sick. 

Following this, a complaint was lodged with the District Medical Assistant Director. On his advice, the Regional Medical Officer went in person and inspected the hospital which was running under the name of Poolavadi Sai Clinic which distributed medicines to children and adults. He has also been known to inject patients and treat them with glucose. Now, it is revealed that he is a fake doctor. 

A complaint has been lodged against him at the police station. The police who arrested Thavamani on the basis of the complaint are conducting an investigation.
