Coimbatore: Police received a tip about cannabis being sold in Bharathipuram near Papulpatti area in Sulur, Coimbatore.
Following this, a team led by Sulur Police Inspector Murugesan was deployed and the police were engaged in intensive patrolling.
At that time 2 youths were on a motorcycle in Bharathipuram area. When caught and interrogated they gave contradictory answers which were suspicious.
When they were investigated further, it was revealed that the youth had cannabis or marijuana hidden with them. During police investigation it was revealed that they were Sumantha Bishwal (31) and sibling brother Susman Bishwal (31) from Odisha but were staying in Ranganathapuram area near Sulur and working in a private factory.
Police officials seized 2 motorcycles and 1 kg and 100 grams of marijuana from them and registered a case.
Similarly, two youths were arrested and interrogated in the Pappampatti area. It was then revealed that they were Prakash Kumar (27) from Odisha and Kirubakaran (19) from Goripalayam who were from Kadambadi area and working in a private company.
Police Officials also seized 1 kg 100 grams of cannabis 2 motorcycles from them and filed a case. Following these two incidents the 4 youths were arrested and sent to prison.
