Health Dept. intensifies COVID-19 safety measures in Valparai

Health Department officials of Tamil Nadu Government Tea Estate Union in Valparai have taken stringent measures to control the sudden surge of the second wave of COVID-19.


Coimbatore: Health Department officials of Tamil Nadu Government Tea Estate Union in Valparai have taken stringent action to control the surge of the COVID-19 second wave.

Health officials under the Valparai Primary Health Centre led by Chief Doctor, Babu Lakshman conducted a COVID testing drive at the Tamil Nadu Government Tea Estate near Cinchona.



Samples were taken from tea estate workers and were sent for RT-PCR testing. Tea estate officials have also kickstarted spraying of disinfectants and bleaching powder across various areas to contain the spread.

Doctors and nurses from Valparai Primary Health Centre took part in this drive at Valparai.
