Locals urge forest officials to drive away roaming bisons from Coonoor residential area
The Nilgiris: Locals in Coonoor have urged forest officials to drive away the herd of bisons that continue to roam residential areas like Jayanthi Nagar and Barracks, in and around Coonoor in the Nilgiris district.
Locals fear that the roaming bisons may attack them on their way to work as well as attack children playing in the neighbourhood. Hence, people in the area have demanded that the Coonoor Forest Department take action immediately and relocate the bisons to forest areas, immediately.
