Plans afoot to start four new police stations in Coimbatore: Police Commissioner
Coimbatore: To add to the existing 15 police stations in Coimbatore, Coimbatore City Police Commissioner, Davidson Devasirvadham announced that plans were afoot to set up four more police stations owing to a rise in crimes across the city.
“Four police stations at Peelamedu, Singanallur, Saravanampatti and Podanur have been divided and in addition it has been recommended to the Tamil Nadu DGP to set up four more police stations in the respective areas. A draft plan for this is being prepared and the recommendation will be sent to the Government for approval, after which action will be taken to set up new police stations," stated the City Police Commissioner.
