Leopard movement continues in Valparai causing panic among locals
Coimbatore: With frequent wildlife movement at the Valparai Anaimalai Tiger Reserve in Coimbatore district of Tamil Nadu, leopards have reportedly been straying into residential areas to prey on dogs, cattle and pultry.
A few days ago, a leopard was spotted roaming in Vazhaithottam area which is part of Valparai. Locals have now released a video of a leopard roaming a residential area of Anna Nagar, on Thursday night.
The incident has caused panic among locals in Valparai. The locals have demanded that the Forest Department patrol the area to detect the movement of leopards and take appropriate action to relocate them back to the Reserve area.
