Gandhi Park closed as a precautionary measure for COVID-19 spread in Coimbatore

Coimbatore district is taking preventative measures at all places to control the spread of the virus


Coimbatore: Gandhi Park is located in the 24th Ward of the West Zone under Coimbatore Corporation and is owned by the Corporation Administration.



Gandhi Park, which was closed last year during the Coronavirus after the public outcry, was reopened a few months ago. Now, with the second wave of COVID-19 spreading like wildfire in the district, the park was closed yesterday.

In an order issued by the Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian, he said, "Gandhi Park will be temporarily closed till further orders."
