Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 3,464 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,87,663 till date, the State health department bulletin said.
Active cases stood at 54,315.
Among districts, Chennai led with 2,564 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 540 cases.
Testing of samples stood at 97,668 today, totalling to 2,07,84,108 getting examined till date.
