DMK members distribute COVID-19 relief items to needy in Coimbatore

Coimbatore: The DMK party members provided COVID-19 relief equipment to the needy people belonging to a private welfare home near Aliyar.

As the second phase of the spread of COVID-19 has started in Tamil Nadu, the DMK leader MK Stalin had advised party members to bring awareness about the diseases among people and also asked the members to distribute Covid-19 welfare equipment to the needy.

Accordingly, on behalf of the Coimbatore South District DMK Women's Wing, an event was organised by the members today to distribute COVID-19 relief equipment to the people of a private welfare home near Aliyar, Coimbatore.

More than 150 elderly people who live at the home were provided with Kabasura drinking water, face shields. Lunch was also arranged. The event was hosted by Shanmugapriya Srinivasan, Deputy Organizer, Coimbatore South District Women's Wing.

Women's wing co-organizers Fathima Akbar, Azhiyar Muthulakshmi, Ambarambalayam Selvi and ex-councillor Maragatham were present while distributing the equipments.

Coimbatore South District DMK secretary Thendral Selvaraj distributed items including face shield and disinfectant to the elderly. Pollachi Council Deputy Secretary Karthikeyan, City Student's Wing Deputy Organizer Sabari Muthuveeran and various other Women's Wing members also took part in the event.
