Police seize 800 kg of banned tobacco products stored for distribution in Tirupur

These tobacco products are banned by the Tamil Nadu government for sales in the state.


Tirupur: Anupparpalayam police received information that Gutka and tobacco items banned by the Tamil Nadu government are kept in the godowns in Neruperichal, Tirupur.



Upon inspecting the area, it was revealed that Kevin Patel had about 800 kg of tobacco products, including Gutka, which are banned by the Tamil Nadu government for distribution and sales.



Following this, the police have seized all of the 800 kg of tobacco products.

The Anupparpalayam police have also arrested Kevin Patel and confiscated his car.
