Police authorities have filed a case against four men for assaulting two EB workers in Pollachi and are further investigating the incident.
Coimbatore: TNEB worker Rajkumar and contract staff Sangilipandi arrived at Ambedkar Nagar in Suleshwaranpatti near Pollachi on Friday, due to faulty power lines in the area.
While on the job, Satheesh Kumar, Ramachandran and their friends who were inebriated got into an argument with the TNEB workers complaining about frequent power failure in the area. The gang also attacked the two TNEB workers and threatened them.
Later, over 50 TNEB workers from various departments laid siege to the Pollachi East Police Station requesting the police to take immediate action on the gang that attacked the TNEB workers.
