Elusive leopard in Valparai causes panic amongst locals

Locals in Valpari have requested forest officials to immediately track an elusive leopard in their area


Coimbatore: With wildlife movement on the increase near human settlements near the Anamalai Wildlife Sanctuary in Valparai, leopards have been spotted attacking dogs, cows, goats and poultry being reared in the surrounding areas.



A recent video trending online shows a leopard roaming on the streets of Vazhaithottam area during midnight which has caused panic among residents in the area. Forest officials have been contacted to track the leopard immediately and help relocate it back to the forest reserve.
