As a preventive measure against COVID-19 spread, the works for spraying disinfectants at polling booths began today.
Coimbatore: A total of 4,427 polling booths have been set up in the 10 constituencies of the Coimbatore district. Also, a total of 5,316 EVM's have also been set up at the polling booths.
All other necessary items for election day at the voting booths such as ink, election forms and pens have been sent to these polling stations.
A total of 21,500 government workers are being involved in the election duty. Since the COVID-19 spread is increasing in the city, the polling booths were sprayed with disinfectants as a precautionary method.
The Election Commission has advised the public to follow COVID-19 protocols while casting their votes tomorrow.
