Four arrested for distributing cash to voters in The Nilgiris

The Nilgiris: Political parties are intensifying their election campaign ahead of the deadline, which ends at 7 pm on Sunday.

In Coimbatore, with the election date approaching, the Flying Squadron Officials are involved in thorough surveillance at the campaign areas in The Nilgiris and found 4 members of the AIADMK party distributing cash to the public.

It is said that the officials have seized Rs 59,500 in cash. The police have also arrested P Subramani, M Subramani, Shivaraj and Murugan, the AIADMK members for bribing the voters.

The members later were released on bail.
