DMK members engage in intensive campaigning for the CPI candidate Arumugam in Valparai and for Madhasarbatra Murpoku Kootani


Coimbatore: Communist Party of India (CPI) candidate Arumugam is the DMK-led alliance candidate contesting from the Valparai assembly constituency in Coimbatore district.



Krishnamurthy and IK Ponnusamy and Pradesh, an IT wing led by Vinod Kumar, general secretary of the Valparai Trade Union, visited the Nadumalai estate in Valparai to meet tea plantation workers and campaign for votes for them under the Communist party symbol.

The DMK has been collecting votes for CPI candidate Arumugam, who has promised to abolish labour tax on workers and the payment of their monthly salaries at ATMs and to provide medical facilities and protection from wildlife disturbances when he assumes office.

CPI party is contesting in the 2021 elections under the DMK-led Madhasarbatra Murpoku Kootani.
