DMK alleges of fake voters in Thondamuthur Constituency; files complaint

DMK candidate files complaint with Election Commission on identifying fake voters in Thondamuthur.

Coimbatore: DMK Thondamuthur MLA candidate Karthikeya Sivasenapathy has filed a complaint with the Coimbatore District Collector and Election Commission about people being asked to vote illegally.

In a press release issued by Karthikeya Sivasenapathy, he stated, "Polling booth No. 51 has been set up at the Government School in Muttathuvayal area for tribals living at the foothills of Velliangiri and Isana Vihar areas in Thondamuthur constituency to cast their votes. The areas of Bharathiar Road and Isana Vihar where the polling booths are located have the highest number of residents from other states. Those who live in Ward No. 5 do not have any rights for voting.

However, based on the final voter list, it has come to light that they are planning to vote fraudulently by showing fake addresses. There are now about 700 voters in almost the same constituency."

"Over 50 voters have the same address for their votes. How is it possible that over 100 people live in just 50 houses. On what basis were they given the right to vote? They did not have any proof nor any evidence on whose authorisation these changes were made, since they have zero connection in the area.

The Election Commission and the District Collector should immediately conduct a proper investigation and ascertain the truth as to how this election malpractice has taken place. With just 6 days to go before the election, a quick inquiry must be done to check the irregularities in voting to prevent fraudulent voting," demanded Karthikeya Sivasenapathy in his press release.
