During his address, Kamal Hassan said "I travel around like a storm to serve people. Cinema is my profession and politics is my duty." He campaigned in support of Ooty constituency candidate Dr Suresh Babu and Coonoor constituency candidate Raja Kumar.
Kamal also said, "The reason I am flying in the helicopter is to meet you soon but I am not the one who using public funds to get fuel, I am flying at my own expense." Later, he met with the reporters and said, "The activities of the Election Commission in Tamilnadu is excellent, but unfortunately they only inspect powerless people for money while they avoid people with such funds. If anyone wants to know information on the funds spent by Makkal Needhi Maiam candidates, the public can access it through the Right to Information Act."
