Public Employees Union demand immediate payment of outstanding salaries to 12 contract employees in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: Public Employees Union has demanded immediate payment of outstanding February salaries to 12 contract employees working in the Coimbatore Corporation. The salary of 12 contract employees working in Ganapathy area, 41st ward, Coimbatore Corporation North Zone, as on February 20, has not been credited to their bank account.
General Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Annal Ambedkar Sanitary and Public Employees Union, Tamil Nadu Selvam, said, “The families of the unpaid sanitary workers have complained to the Corporation Commissioner that the contract cleaners are relying on their salaries for house rent and family expenses and have not been paid for the month of February. We need to take immediate action and make the outstanding salaries be paid to the sanitary workers.”
