Coimbatore: Gadeswara Subramaniam, the state president of Hindu Munnani spoke to reporters after the Hindu Munnani state executive council meeting held at a private gathering in Udumalai, Tirupur district.
He told the reporters, "I welcome Tamil State Congress leader GK Vasan comments on temples and temples should be handed over to spiritualists and mutts. In Tamil Nadu, some people are conducting politics without a policy, especially the DMK, saying that there is no God and have forgotten their political policy. The DMK has set aside Rs 1,000 crore for the reconstruction of the temples in its election manifesto. With Rs 5,000 crore revenue coming from temples in Tamil Nadu, allocating Rs 1,000 crore is an act of cheating. A separate board should be set up for the temple as the temple lands have been occupied by politicians."
He added, "The DMK alliance is operating as an anti-Hindu alliance. Moreover, Thirumavalavan in the DMK alliance continues to spread slander about Hindus. People will not accept the dual role of Stalin, Udayanithi and Kanimozhi. Adiyaman in the DMK alliance has been working to incite caste riots. Both DMK, AIADMK's election statement is not possible. Free education to provide employment is Hindu Munnani's idea. There is no blame on the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu. But the public has been leveling various allegations against the DMK. Political parties claim that the Anaimalai Nallaru project to be implemented is an empty promise."
