Wife dies of grief shortly after husband dies in Coimbatore
Coimbatore: In Coimbatore, this morning, after hearing the news of her husband's death, the wife cried and fainted over his body and died shortly afterwards.
Ramamurthy (70) and his wife Sarojini (65), are residents of Kondathupalayam, Thondamuthur, Coimbatore. They have a son and a daughter. As their son died in an accident a few years ago Ramamurthy and Sarojini lived in their daughter's house in Kulathupalayam.
Ramamurthy has retired from being a clerk in the court. Ramamurthy died at 3:30 am todaydue to ill health and knowing this his wife cried and fainted. Neighbors immediately took her to a private hospital in the Thondamuthur area. The doctors who examined him said she died on the way. the news where the wife died within hours after her husband's death, spread like wildfire in the area.
The people of the village all came together and were amazed at their affection. The husband and wife were cremated at the crematorium in Thondamuthur and the Thondamuthur police are investigating the matter.
