55 persons have filed nominations in 10 Coimbatore constituencies
Coimbatore: Nomination filing is in full swing in all the 10 constituencies in Coimbatore district ahead of assembly elections with 19thas the last date. The applications will be sent for review on the 20th March. March 22nd has been announced as the last day to withdraw the nomination. 55 people filed nominations on the same day yesterday.
55 people including 8 in Mettupalayam constituency, 1 in Sulur, 6 in Kavundampalayam, 3 in Coimbatore North, 2 in Thondamuthur, 5 in South Coimbatore, 6 in Singanallur, 10 in Kinathukkadavu, 9 in Pollachi and 5 in Valparai have filed nominations yesterdayalone. The number of candidates who have filed petitions in the district so far has increased to 92.
