Coimbatore: KG hospital conducted 'Mupperum Vizha' honoring women at the women's nursing college premises.

In a press release it is said, "KG Hospital and Post Graduate Medical Institute has been performing health care delivery and doing great medical service for this part of the country. Padmashri Dr G Bakthavathsalam has been the Chairman of this institution for the past almost 5 decades and we feel very proud for the achievements of the hospital under his leadership.

Women play an important role in any family. The women also perform equally well if not better in the professional front. Women of India have achieved greatness being teachers, being administrators, managers, dancers, actors, in fine arts, singing, and nation building.

In any hospital environment, nurses play a key role. In KG hospital, we call our nurses as Angels because they spend 12 to 14 hours taking care of sick children or the elderly.

They fully dedicate their lives, they work at home as a mother, wife, come and spend time in day and night duty for 6 to 10 hrs by taking care of somebody else's child, mother, father, grandfather, grandmother.

Except for the nurses of Tamil Nadu and Kerala, there was no hospital worth mentioning the name.Hence, we decided to celebrate the triple function "Mupperum Vizha 1. Celebration of the International Women's day,

2. Felicitating the Angel Veeranganaigal, who have bravely faced critical situations and diseases, whether it is corona or non-corona, infectious diseases or meeting and dealing with not so gentle, rough and tough patients.

Nurses face domestic violence and violence at the workplaces. Hence we wanted to honour them.

3. Book release of Dr GB "Hare Krishna". The new book was released by the Chairperson of the Human Rights Justice Baskaran. You have seen many doctors performing excellent professional work. But Dr GB is not only performing professional work but also has created a Centre of excellence for healing and learning. He is an excellent speaker also and a writer of books for educating the public. Dr GB has written how you can become a human being to a divine being by helping others."
