Coimbatore: Around 18 sovereigns of gold jewels were reported stolen as a result of a burglary incident in Chettipalayam, Coimbatore.
Srinivasan (50) is a resident of Ramar Thottam in Gobichettipalayam-Palladam road. Srinivasan was involved in Agriculture in his land.
Meanwhile, Srinivasan left his home the day before yesterday to visit his sister in Gandhipuram. Later Srinivasan came back home yesterday nightto find his front door lock broken.
When Srinivasan went inside he found his closest broken with 18 sovereigns of gold jewels missing.
Post this he filed a complaint with the Chettipalayam police officials.
Police officials who arrived at the scene used the help of forensic department officials to collect evidence like the rods which were used in the burglary.
Later under the orders of SP Arularasu and under the supervision of DSP Suriyamoorthy, a 3 member team including SI Arul Prakash, Crime Branch SI's Pandiyarajan and Vasanthamani are investigating the case.
This burglary incident has created a stir in the area.
