Coimbatore: The news which surfaced online that a case has been registered against actor turned politician Kamal Haasan for his derogatory comments on DMK president MK Stalin during election campaign for the upcoming assembly election is false, said Mayilvaganan, one of DMK’s lawyer’s wing member.

He said that "Kamal Haasan is making false accusations against DMK leader Stalin and it is clearly an act of violating election commission’s rules.

I have personally checked with the party members regarding this and I assure you that no case has been registered against MNM leader." He told.

The truth will be known if the election commission takes up the issue and review it."

Reiterating his stand, the spokesperson also said that the party hasn’t received any such news on it and if it is true the party is ready to face.

Makkal Needhi Maiam on Wednesday announced its first list of candidates for the upcoming assembly election in Tamil Nadu, in which the party’s leader Kamal Hassan was seen addressing mistakes done by both AIADMK and DMK in his campaign.
