50th year celebrations of India's victory in the 1971 war against Pakistan in Wellington

Celebrations have commenced from December 3rdas a part of remembering the brave warriors who took part in the 1971 war.


The Nilgiris: India won the war which broke between India and Pakistan in the year 1971. Todaybeing the 50th year of the war a victory torch is being taken to Army Academies and training centers across the country.



As a part of, the torch was brought to Coonoor Wellington Army Academy from Coimbatore today. Wellington Army Academy Commander Rajeshwar Singh and Lieutenant General S Pattabiraman received the victory torch.

Celebrations have commenced from December 3rdas a part of remembering the brave warriors who took part in the 1971 war.

During the event that happened todayin Wellington Army Academy, awards were given to Ex-Leaders of Army Workers and wives/kin of deceased war heroes.

Post this Army Senior Officials, Junior Grade Officials and Ex-servicemen men paid their respects to the victory torch.
