Two persons crushed to death on the spot when a concrete mixer truck collided in Tirupur.
Coimbatore: Two persons were crushed to death on the spot when a concrete mixer lorry collided on a two wheeler in Tirupur. Velusamy and Karunanidhi were traveling in a two-wheeler at the Thadikararmukku on Tirupur - Mangalam Road. When they were standing on their two-wheeler to cross the road a lorry collided with their two-wheeler. Velusamy and Karunanidhi lost control of the two-wheeler and fell on the back wheel of the lorry and died on the spot.
Police recovered the bodies of the two and sent them to the Tirupur District Government Hospital for autopsy. They arrested the lorry driver and are investigating. The incident has saddened everyone in the area.
