COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 490 recoveries to 482 new cases

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Thursday recorded 482 fresh COVID-19 cases and 4 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,53,449 and toll to 12,508.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Thursday recorded 482 fresh COVID-19 cases and 4 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,53,449 and toll to 12,508.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 490 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,36,963 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 3,978.

Among districts, Chennai led with 189 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 48 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 50,706 today, totalling to 1,76,81,361 getting examined till date.
