Coimbatore: AIADMK Minister SP Velumani issued a press release today ahead of the birth anniversary celebrations of late CM Jayalalitha.

In the press release Minister SP Velumani stated that “Under the orders of AIADMK party organiser & Finance Minister O Panneerselvam and AIADMK Deputy organiser & Chief Minister Edapaddi Palanisamy, Late Chief Minister Jayalalithaa’s 73rd birth anniversary is to be observed by paying floral respect to her photos and distributing sweets to people across Coimbatore district. Amma’s birth anniversary is planned to be celebrated by distributing welfare schemes to the poor and needy.”

Minister SP Velumani said that a series of special general meetings will be held in the remembrance of Puratchi Thalavi Amma in Coimbatore. Rural Minister SP Velumani in his press release stated that “Minorities Welfare Secretary CTC Abdul Jaffer along with Coonoor Siva will address the gathering in Valparai on 24th February. In a meeting that is to be held in Sulur on 28th February AIADMK spokesperson AS Maheshwari, MGR Mandram Deputy Secretary NGK Muthukrishnan and Cuddalore Ramamurthy are scheduled to address the gathering.

At the general meeting that is to be held on March 1 in Kinathukadavu constituency, Organization secretary Damodaran, MGR Mandram joint secretary VS Bhoomi Balan and MA Raghuman are scheduled to speak.

Later at the public meeting that is to be held on the 2nd March in Thondamuthur constituency, Deputy Secretary of the Agriculture Divisionof AIADMK M Bharathi and Amma Ravi are scheduled to address the gathering.

BP Sajeevan Selvakumar, Secretary, Commerce Team will address the meeting to be held on the 2nd March in Pollachi constituency. Puratchi Thalaivi Amma is someone who lives in the hearts of the poor and simple people. Therefore, on the occasion of Amma’s birth anniversary I request you to provide welfare assistance to the poor and make them happy.” the Minister said in the press release.
