Coimbatore: Petition to collector seeking permanent job for contract lab employees who worked while coronavirus pandemic in Coimbatore.
Temporary Laboratory technicians have petitioned the Coimbatore District Collector to make them into permanent employees as the work of the laboratory staff who worked on contract basis during the Coronavirus at the Coimbatore Medical College Hospital is nearing completion.
Later, they said that they were engaged in the service of the people without worrying about their lives during the period when no one came forward to work during the pandemic and that they should be given permanent jobs to secure their livelihood as their temporary jobs are now coming to an end and should give priority to them when hiring laboratory technicians in government jobs.
