DMK members protest at Thiruvalluvar Thidal in Pollachi condemning the hike of petrol, diesel and gas prices

The demonstration was attended by many members including State Agriculture Union Vice President Tamilmani.

Coimbatore:

People especially from the middle class and lower middle class are heavily affected by the Central Government’s unpredicted hike in the prices of petrol, diesel and LPG gas cylinders.

Various political parties have been staging protests across Tamilnadu against this sudden hike. Demonstrations are being held all over Tamilnadu today to show their condemnation against the upsurge of fuel prices. As a part of that, DMK Coimbatore district representative Thendral Selvaraj headed a condemnation protest at the Thiruvalluvar Thidal in Pollachi.

Protestors raised their voices against the federal government, which continues to raise petrol and diesel prices, and does not care about the poor and common people. They also said that the hike in the price of LPG cylinders has a major impact. Slogans were raised by the protestors emphasizing the demands urging the Central Government to take action and control price hikes. The demonstration was attended by many members including State Agriculture Union Vice President Tamilmani.
