Poondi Temple Festival: Forest department consults with tribals.


Coimbatore: Forest department consults with tribals regarding the Poondi temple. The forest department consulted with the tribals on setting up shops and snacks points ahead of the Poondi temple festival and they were also told to follow strict protocols. It was attended by a large number of people.

The guidelines for setting up shops were taught to the people for setting up shops from the first mountain, to the sixth mountain Andi Sunai. The process of setting up shops is about to begin from the 25th. The forest department said pilgrims are likely to be allowed on the trek from March 1.

On behalf of the Poondi temple administration, it has been announced that a public auction for hill top undiyal and various other licenses will be held on the 25th.
