Coimbatore: On behalf of the Tamilnadu State Transport Corporation, Coimbatore “Road Safety Month Festival” was held from January 18 to February 17. The closing ceremony of the Road Safety Month was held at the Gandhipuram bus stand, Coimbatore.
Anbu Abraham, Managing Director, Tamil Nadu State Transport Corporation, Coimbatore presided over the function. Coimbatore Corporation Commissioner Kumaravel Pandian was the special guest to this event.
Earlier in the day, prizes were awarded to drivers who drove vehicles with fuel economy, drivers who were polite to the passengers and drivers who followed safety guidelines.
Following this, a road safety awareness play was conducted on the road safety campaign vehicle. The event was attended by many officials from the transport department and regional transport offices.
