"Valimaiyana Kudumbam Valuvana Samoogam" campaign to prevent domestic violence starts from 19th: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind announces

Coimbatore: Jamaat-e-Islami Hind announced the "Valimaiyana Kudumbam Valuvana Samoogam" campaign to prevent domestic violence starting from the 19th. Jamaat-e-Islami Hind state president in Coimbatore Khadija Ghaza told reporters that more domestic violence was reported during the coronavirus lockdown than the number of domestic violence cases reported to the National Commission for Women over the past 10 years.

He said, "Domestic violence has increased during the coronavirus lockdown. By creating a proper knowledge and understanding of family relationships and family structure, and by making family members realize the duty and rights of each, and by teaching them a sense of spirituality they can create positive thoughts and activities in the community. Through this we can build a strong proactive community"

"Valimaiyana Kudumbam Valuvana Samoogam"

In recognition of this, the Jamaat-e-Islami Hind has planned to launch a nationwide campaign from 19 to 28 under the theme "Valimaiyana Kudumbam Valuvana Samoogam".

He said, various events are planned to be held across the country through meetings and public events and in Coimbatore it is aimed to reach 50,000 families. The meeting was attended by Coimbatore City Women's Chairperson Zaheena Ahmed, executives Farzana, Saleena Pahi and others.
