Mahalingapuram police officials have filed a case regarding this accident and are investigating further.
Coimbatore: Perumal (65) was from Kollupalayam, Pollachi. Perumal and his friend Shanmugasundaram (45) from Kottur were carpenters. Both of them were returning home to Pollachi from work today.
They stopped for filling fuel at a petrol bunk on the Pollachi-Palladam road. When they took off from the bunk, a speeding car from Tirupur crashed on the bike.
Both Perumal and Shanmuga Sundaram were injured heavily during this accident. People in the nearby location called 108 for help and they were taken to the Pollachi Government Hospital for treatment.
Unfortunately both of them lost their lives during their way to the hospital.
The car crashed on the bike hit a nearby tree. Dhamodran who was driving the car was also injured. He was taken to a private hospital nearby and is undergoing treatment.
