395 army cadets took charge today at the oath taking ceremony held in Madras Regiment Central, Coonoor

Medals awarded to the cadets who performed extraordinarily during the 46 weeks training.


The Nilgiris: At the army base in Wellington, Coonoor army training is given for youths from Tamilnadu, Andra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka.

Post the training the cadets will be posted at the camps in Indian borders for patrol duty.

A total of 395 cadets took part actively in the training given at Wellington Army Academy which lasted fir 46 weeks. Today a oath taking ceremony was conducted were these cadets took charge as army officers.

Army officers took their oaths by promising on salt placed upon the Indian National Flag, Religious holy books like Bagvath Geeta, Kuran and Bible.

Post this a army parade took place which highly amused the visitors of the oath taking ceremony.



Brigadier Rajeshwar Singh accepted the respects paid by the parade officers and then handed over medals to the cadets who performed their best during the 46 weeks training.
