BJP will not engage religion in politics - K Annamalai in Coimbatore

BJP State Vice President Annamalai took part in the Modi Camp organised by BJP's people seva organization that took place in Raja Veedhi todayalong with BJP National Women's Wing President Vanathi Srinivasan.


Coimbatore: "BJP will not involve religion in politics. The recent Mettupalayam incident was planned to create a communal riot making BJP as the target" says BJP State Vice President Annamalai.



BJP State Vice President Annamalai took part in the Modi Camp organised by BJP's people seva organization that took place in Raja Veedhi today along with BJP National Women's Wing President Vanathi Srinivasan.

Post the event Vanathi Srinivasan, BJP's National Women's Wing President met with the press and said that "Modi Camp is said to happen in every ward of Coimbatore South till 21st February. This camp's soul idea is to bring Prime Minister Modi's people welfare schemes to the people. In the camp identification cards for medical insurance upto ₹5 lakhs will be given along with implementation of other schemes like Selvamagal Savings Scheme for girl children under the age of 10. Along with this special eye check-up camp and identification cards to physically challenged people will also be provided."



Later BJP State Vice President Annamalai addressed the press and said that Modi's 191st scheme is being executed. He then asked volunteers to take part in this and assured that Prime Minister Modi's schemes will definitely reach the public beyond political policies.

"On the 26th two organization's drama is more than freedom of speech. I condemn the way they portrayed our Prime Minister. BJP members participated in a protest against this and violence was done against them. It is my humble request to arrest them."

He further said that "BJP will never involve religion in politics and there is nothing wrong in what Vellore Ibrahim said in Kodaikanal. According to me BJP was targeted to bring out communal violence in the incidents that took place in Mettupalayam and Kodaikanal."
