An investigation is being done by Inspector Sivakumar from the Mettupalayam Police Station.
Coimbatore: A fire accident happened early in the morning today at a plastic warehouse in Mettupalayam, Coimbatore. Over 30 lakhs worth of products is said to be damaged in the accident.
Senthil (38) from Sirumugai, Mettupalayam runs a plastic warehouse for the last 20 years. It is said that smoke was seen arising from the plastic warehouse around 4 am today.
In sometime a huge fire is said to have started at the warehouse which spread to the entire building. Information was passed immediately to the Mettupalayam Fire and Rescue Department who reached the venue and tried to put out the blazing fire.
But unfortunately fire had spread to some nearby houses which caused panic in the area.
Mettupalayam Police Inspector SivaKumar is conducting an investigation.
