In a recent health bulletin issued by the Bangalore Medical College and Research Institute (BMRCI) on Monday afternoon, VK Sasikala is now asymptomatic and is continuously being monitored.

VK Sasikala (63) aide of the late former Tamil Nadu Chief Minister late Jayalalithaa and former AIADMK general secretary was tested positive for COVID-19 last week and was admitted in the ICU of BMRCI with complaints of shortness of breath.

She reported symptoms such as fever, breathlessness and cough, following which she was admitted to the State-run Bowring and Lady Curzon Medical College and Research Institute before being shifted to Victoria. Though her Covid test results showed as negative, a CT scan examination of her lungs revealed severe acute respiratory illness (SARI). However, the second test showed that she was positive for COVID-19.
