Tirupur: Former Congress President Rahul Gandhi is visiting Kongu Region for 3 days from 23rd of this month to begin the election campaign.



To oversee the preparations undertaken by the party members, Congress State Head KS Alagiri today organised a discussion meeting.

After the meeting, Congress State Head KS Alagiri addressed the media. He said that Rahul Gandhi is to begin his election campaign under the topic called "Tamil Vanakkam" which is now trending across the nation.



He then said that Rahul Gandhi's tour in the Kongu Region will bring awakening among people. KS Alagiri further said that Rahul Gandhi has planned to conduct a campaign almost 5 times more than the campaign done during the parliamentary elections.

Congress State Head KS Alagiri then said that Rahul Gandhi is to meet industrialists and trade union leaders in Coimbatore and Tirupur and has planned to ask about the issues faced by industrialists in the region.

When reporters asked Congress State Head KS Alagiri about the rumoured split of Congress party in Pondicherry. He said that they are still friends and that the party is ready to face any issues regarding alliance and is also ready to contest alone. He then said that there is no drift with the alliance parties in Tamilnadu

Congress State Head KS Alagiri then said that Congress will always welcome Makkal Needhi Maiam for alliance as they don't have belief in religious based governance. He said that it is better to join congress and win rather than splitting the votes.

"We already invited Rajinikanth but the pressure by BJP members has caused him blood pressure problems." Congress State Head KS Alagiri said that Rajinikanth's fans will always show support for Congress.

Later Congress State Head KS Alagiri said that Rahul Gandhi is coming to Tamilnadu to begin his political campaign and has also planned to discuss alliance.

KS Alagiri also said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi and other Ministers of the parliament should have taken the vaccine shots like Prime Minister and Presidents of other countries which would have decreased the panic among people.
