COVID 19: Tamil Nadu posts 805 recoveries to 621 new case

Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 621 fresh COVID-19 cases and 5 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,29,573 and toll to 12,251.


Coimbatore: Continuing to register a dip in new infections, Tamil Nadu on Friday recorded 621 fresh COVID-19 cases and 5 more deaths, pushing the overall case tally to 8,29,573 and toll to 12,251.

Recoveries continued to eclipse new cases with 805 patients getting cured aggregating to 8,11,023 till date, the State health department bulletin said.

Active cases stood at 6,299.

Among districts, Chennai led with 180 new cases today followed by Coimbatore with 67 cases.

Testing of samples stood at 55,847 today, totalling to 1,51,24,787 getting examined till date.
